Verdict

THE MICK PRESTON made a successful switch to handicaps at Hereford in January and, with the timefigure supporting the performance, he makes quite a lot of appeal with this step up in trip sure to suit. Gladiateur Allen was below expectations thrown into a competitive handicap at Ascot last time, but there’s every chance he’ll have benefited from the experience. Karl Philippe is also interesting.
