Verdict

A very interesting maiden chase. CAPTAIN GUINNESS was still very much in contention when brought down at the second last in the Supreme at the Cheltenham Festival in March and can make a winning start over fences, but Unexcepted, Soviet Pimpernel and Entoucas were all useful over hurdles and should ensure Henry de Bromhead's charge doesn't have things all his own way.

  1. CAPTAIN GUINNESS (IRE)
  2. UNEXCEPTED (FR)
  3. SOVIET PIMPERNEL (IRE)
