Verdict

Star Max is officially the highest-rated in this race and should be involved after regaining his confidence after a heavy fall to finish fourth on his first run for four months at Kilbeggan recently. However, preference is for the far less exposed CONVARA who has had just the two starts over fences and would surely have gone close to going one better than he did on his chase debut if he had jumped the last at Tipperary. Provided he is nonetheworse mentally, he has the beating of Global Jackpot on that form and can make it third time lucky. Gordon Elliot's representative is 0-9 over fences but is a consistent sort and has place claims once again.
  1. Convara
  2. Star Max
  3. Global Jackpot
