Verdict

The Johnny Murtagh-trained KOSMAN can land the spoils here in first-time blinkers. The gelding got off the mark for connections at the eighth attempt, his sixth start on turf, landing a Naas handicap over a similar trip last month off a 8lb lower mark last month and has continued in good form at Roscommon and Naas recently. The Jessica Harrington-trained Shona Mea has been solid and consistent since her return to action at this venue last month and can pose the biggest threat in this contest. The Thomas Cleary-trained Kodiac Prince, Sweet Justice for trainer Tom McCourt and Take My Hand for Michael Mulvany can compete for minor honours.
