Verdict

A tricky puzzle to solve, with connections of Poet's Magic surely tearing their hair out after the 13-race maiden somehow managed to finish second at Ayr. His solid profile of late must give him solid place claims once again though. Similar comments apply to the more unexposed Ventura Rascal who is getting better all the time and was narrowly denied when second best in a photo-finish last week. That was a career-best and there should be more to come again. However, the horse who beat him finished second over C&D behind OUR DAVE at the start of the month & that horse is taken to follow up off 4lb higher as he looks value for more than the winning margin would suggest.
  1. Our Dave
  2. Poet's Magic
  3. Ventura Rascal
