Verdict

In a contest where a good number may not get into contention, the Mags Mullins-trained BALLYMAC BOY can win for the first time over fences. The gelding by Scorpion is clearly better than his last effort at Kilbeggan suggests and can get off the mark at the sixth time of asking over the larger obstacles. Recent winner over hurdles, Slainte And Thanks can emerge as the biggest danger, while Fairymount Boy for trainer Michael Hourigan and Capture The Drama can mount bold bids if improving on their most recent efforts. Nomanbehind on debut for trainer Gavin Cromwell should be checked in the market.
  1. Ballymac Boy
  2. Slainte And Thanks
  3. Fairymount Boy
