Verdict

A host of horses in this are shaping as if a winning effort is around the corner, and preference is for CAESAR'S COMET to follow up on an encouraging run last time. The six-year-old put his best foot forward that day but remains to be well-treated by the handicapper and should be better suited to this sharper 7f than he faced at Cork. Similar claims can be made for Silk Cravat, who was agonisingly defeated at Dundalk four days ago but the quick turnaround is of some concern, while the likes of Accladora and Rince Deireanach are closely matched at the weights and on consistent and similarly are getting a chance to improve once more by the handicapper, so they cannot be entirely discounted.
  1. Caesar's Comet
  2. Accladora
  3. Silk Cravat
