Verdict

Mark Johnston sets a poser with both Bavardages and Royal Big Night holding fair claims, but of some interest here is the twice raced JOHN JASPER who makes his handicap bow only a month after his racecourse debut. He's shown ability on both starts and his shrewd connections have wasted no time in switching to this sphere. Spiritofthenorth shaped well on his handicap bow recently at Beverley and rates a danger along with Mustaqbal whose yard is in decent form and who can build on the promise of his fourth place at Pontefract last time. Any rain would certainly help his cause.

  3. Bavardages
