Verdict

Punters can rely on the Iain Jardine-trained mare FLOOD DEFENCE in the concluding race on the card. The selection capitalised on her falling handicap mark to make a winning return to action last week and provided she copes with the quick turnaround, she should have no problems following up. If she is to disappoint, Majestic Stone looks the likeliest to take advantage. Despite his modest strike-rate (1-30), he posted his best effort for a while when second last month and the stable are in good form at the moment. Corton Lad finished behind the selection on his seasonal debut but should strip fitter this time round, while Mapped is another one for the shortlist.
