Verdict

A poor handicap which lacks any real winning substance, MOUNTAIN FOX looks well-placed to back up two recent promising efforts in this. He didn't entirely get the run of the race when sent off favourite for a handicap a fortnight ago but crucially gets a decent draw and looks to now be one step ahead of the handicapper. Descendent has proved his shock effort at the start of this term was no fluke and is likely to settle better with plenty of likely pace, while the likes of Musalsal, Tynamite and Tennessee Wildcat all have been eased in the weights - the latter two to career-low marks - but have still showed their most ability at this level recently to warrant place claims.
  1. Mountain Fox
  2. Musalsal
  3. Descendant
