Forecasts

Bright Eyed Eagle (11/8), Aquileo (16/5), Berkshire Savvy (4/1), Vindicate (8/1), Rake's Progress (8/1), Emenem (12/1), Salamanca School (14/1), Cabot Cliffs (16/1)

Verdict

BRIGHT EYED EAGLE is open to plenty of improvement and is well worth considering after posting an eye-catching display in a three-runner handicap last month. With just 2lb more to shoulder, he should be capable of more progress and looks a leading candidate. However, the betting market could be cramped and he might not be the best value bet of the evening. Therefore, an each-way cover bet on the consistent Rake's Progress is also recommend, as he is more wily than his younger opponents and won after a similar preparation last season. Aquileo and Vindicate are others to monitor in the betting, too.
  1. Bright Eyed Eagle
  2. Rake's Progress
  3. Aquileo
