Verdict

The first division of a 1m novice, which features three previous winners in the shape of Confide, Magnetised and Rogue Assassin. It's perfectly feasible that any of that trio could prove capable of defying their respective penalties, but greater value could lurk elsewhere. Liberty Power (Tim Easterby) and Purple Knight (Karl Burke) are noteworthy newcomers in relatively high-profile racing silks, while the well-bred Khayyaal cost a mint ($500,000) as a foal. However, in the interests of sport, a chance is taken on the William Haggas-trained ILARAAB who was set an ambitious enough objective on debut at Newmarket four weeks ago.
  1. Ilaraab
  2. Magnetised
  3. Liberty Power
