Verdict

Last month's Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes protagonists Scarlet Dragon (first), Deja (second), Le Don De Vie (third) and Indianapolis (fifth) are all much-respected on revised terms while Mark Johnston has a strong record in this and so The Trader is one to consider after winning at Newmarket but two against the field are Babbo's Boy and DAL HORRISGLE. The former quickened well to win over 1m2f here last month and will find this trip to his liking but William Haggas' charge is preferred. He's low-mileage and shaped nicely at Newmarket on his return. Unexposed at this trip; last summer's Gordon Stakes third reads well and there may be more to come from him.
  1. Dal Horrisgle
  2. Babbo's Boy
  3. Le Don De Vie
