Verdict

Melburnian appears to have been laid out for this contest and finally gets her chance to run after twice being a non-runner in face of fast ground. The mare won well last time at Leopardstown and now the penny seems to have dropped then she has every chance of following up despite a rise in the weights. Pearl Warrior is to be feared especially if the front runner gets to dictate things at the head of affairs. The gelding is in great form at the moment and should go well. Closely matched with the four-year-old is the filly Cape Islay who finished runner-up last time out but could go one better here.
  1. Melburnian
  2. Pearl Warrior
  3. Cape Islay
