Verdict

Winner of a Gowran Park handicap over a similar trip at the fourth attempt, SHONA MEA can continue her progress in a weak looking renewal. The daughter of Dragon Pulse should get the better of the Chris Hayes-ridden Talking Tough for the Michael Mulvany yard and the Willie McCreery-trained Amelia Jane, who is likely to improve for the fitting of first-time cheekpieces following a solid return to action at this track earlier this month. Jm Barrie has the next best form on turf should not be underestimated.
  1. Shona Mea
  2. Talking Tough
  3. Amelia Jane
