Verdict

Quite a competitive affair and the nod goes the way of top weight BOTHAR DUBH. The seven-year-old was in consistent form last season before disappointing in heavy ground at Punchestown on his final start: With ground conditions more likely to be in his favour he is taken to get back to winning ways. Oscar Academy was last seen at the Cheltenham Festival down the field in a Grade 1 contest. He may have got in here on a reasonable mark and strong market support would be encouraging. Ballymacaw could still be progressing and if putting his best foot forward has an excellent chance of following up his March maiden hurdle win.
  1. Bothar Dubh
  2. Oscar Academy
  3. Ballymacaw
