Verdict

With Bodyline not taking his place in the field just a trio go to post and there’s a danger that this could become tactical. Glenties is generally ridden positively and Joe Fanning (so good from the front) is given a good opportunity to set the fractions and dictate the pace especially as this son of Karakontie should enjoy this further step up in trip. BRIGHT EYED EAGLE just shades the vote having produced a taking debut at Redcar and despite failing to win second-time out when favourite there was still a lot to like about him; stepping up to this trip for his handicap debut can only be seen as a positive. Gibraltar completes the field and shouldn’t be neglected but more is needed from him.
  1. Bright Eyed Eagle
  2. Glenties
  3. Gibraltar
