Verdict

The first division of a novice contest which will almost certainly yield any number of future winners. Of the newcomers, Star Of Wins (William Haggas) and Winter Reprise (David Menuisier) are arguably the most intriguing, although both (or either) will need to be right at the top of their respective games in order to trouble King Leonidas and EASTERN WORLD. John Gosden's representative made a striking impression here (7f, soft) when beating a stablemate of Bullfinch but is penalised as a result. Therefore, a very marginal preference is for the beautifully bred Godolphin runner who finished second best on his debut at Kempton.
  1. Eastern World
  2. King Leonidas
  3. Winter Reprise
