Verdict

STOUGHAN CROSS made a successful return to hurdles last time and the trainer will be looking to take advantage of his reasonable handicap mark to follow up. The gelding stayed on strongly in the closing stages of that race at Punchestown and given the paucity of talent in opposition, he is taken to score again. Plentiful improved for the fitting of cheekpieces last time at Clonmel and if the equipment has the same effect then he can give the selection most to do. Anjilina is starting to look well handicapped on previous form and while her current form is poor, it is possible she may find some renewed vigour from somewhere and may be worth an each-way chance.
  1. Stoughan Cross
  2. Plentiful
  3. Anjilina
