Mossbawn appears to be the pick of the newcomers', but it'll come as a major surprise if this doesn't prove to be a straightforward match between the penalised course winners Hurcle and UNION. The former returns to action from a 222-day absence for Richard Fahey (previously with Archie Watson). However, a strong preference is for the Roger Varian-trained runner who has the benefit of a more recent run, with that C&D winning form taking a major boost courtesy of a fine effort from fifth-placed Golden Sandbanks here last week.
