Runner-up to Geronimo in this race 12 months ago, he rediscovered the winning thread with a game win at Carlisle (3m2f, heavy) five weeks ago. However, with Diamond Brig (unexposed under rules) and Donna's Delight (easing mark and wind surgery) both expected to perform significantly better than of late, and the rejuvenated Samstown once more sporting blinkers he won't necessarily have things all his own way in an intriguing contest.
