Verdict

This contest has the look of an open one which could well go the way of PRINCE LLYWELYN who finished last of five in a decent race at Ascot on hurdles debut, but the likelihood is that run was too bad to be true as he showed enough in bumpers to suggest he could reach a high level over obstacles. Penny Mallow has not been seen since making a winning hurdles debut 68 days ago, and although that is slightly concerning, she showed a very willing attitude that day which should hold her in good stead. Top-weight Dhowin will need further in time, but he improved a good bit from his hurdles debut to win at Hereford last time and should feature prominently again.
  1. Prince Llywelyn
  2. Dhowin
  3. Penny Mallow
