Forecasts

Mackenberg (9/4), The Mayne Man (9/4), Bavington Bob (4/1), Brave Seasca (4/1), Offtheshoulder (9/2), Bushmill Boy (8/1), Empty Quarter (12/1), Pentelitubby (33/1)

Verdict

This looks a fairly deep bumper for the track with those having already run under Rules showing promise along with some interesting newcomers. The group with previous bumper form are less likely to win but strong market vibes for the likes of Brave Seasca would have to be noted. The duo with a point-to-point background take the eye as both were expensive purchases although both Mackenburg and Offtheshoulder will probably be suited by a stiffer test in future and the inside track here may be a little sharp. That could leave the way open for Stuart Crawford’s debutant THE MAYNE MAN, the yard do well in this sphere and have won with their last two newcomers at Carlisle in bumpers.
  1. The Mayne Man
  2. Offtheshoulder
  3. Mackenberg
