Verdict

A case of third time lucky for the Jessica Harrington-trained PEPPERONI PETE to get off the mark at the third time of asking over C&D following a couple of setbacks in earlier skirmishes. The key could be the return of cheekpieces for the three-year-old as he bids to see off the likes of course winner Rips Dream and Queen Amidala who has been running well in defeat in a couple of starts over C&D since October beaten 1½L and a short-head. C&D winner Pak Army will require consideration if making the line-up there are a number that could go well at a price including Secret Wizard, Royal Admiral and Art Of America in a wide open contest.
  1. Pepperoni Pete
  2. Rips Dream
  3. Queen Amidala
