Verdict

In a race where it is difficult to find a pace angle from any of the 30 runners it may pay to side with the higher part of the draw. The Andrew Slattery-trained Sors can be expected to be not to far off the lead possibly followed through by Vocatus for trainer Jim Bolger and the Sheila Lavery-trained, Sakura. The early speed on this side could set the race nicely up for recent Down Royal winner PULSE OF SHANGHAI who went well here previously over C&D on yielding ground in August when in the hands of James Ryan. The Dragon Pulse gelding can improve again for the move to a new yard. Little Clarinet, Hiella and Rattling Jewel should not be underestimated.
