Verdict

Quite a decent contest for the grade with some interesting contenders not least Just Call Me Al who may well have got closer to winning over C&D when he was last seen with a more positive ride. If he can cope with the long absence, he’s a leading player along with Trapper Peak and Nathan’s Pride both of those being well handicapped on their old form. Superefficient hasn’t quite lived up to her billing so far and the chances of handicap debutants Heavey and CALVANIST make more appeal. The first-named of that duo needs to bounce back from a poor run last time but the latter has improved with each hurdles run and looks nicely treated for a test that should really suit.
  1. Calvinist
  2. Just Call Me Al
  3. Trapper Peak
