Slowly into stride, held up 3rd, pushed along in centre over 2f out, unable to quicken over 1f out, shaken up and stayed on inside final furlong, went 2nd 100 yards out and closed, just held op 5/2 tchd 3/1
Led, brought field near side in straight and bagged rail, joined 2f out, headed approaching final furlong, kept on until weakened into 3rd final 100 yards tchd 6/4
Grand Rock (5/4), King's Caper (13/8), Night Colours (9/4)
KING'S CAPER is clearly progressing at a rapid rate now and Mark Johnston's charge has been found a good a spot to land the four-timer. Grand Rock is probably a bigger danger than Night Colours and the deeper the ground the better for him after winning on heavy latest.
