Verdict

C&D winners at Ripon are always to be respected due to the tricky nature of the track which means that Montalvan and Penny Pot Lane especially should enter calculations. The former has form figures at the track of 421 and showed last time out that he was still in good form while the latter ran well in less than ideal circumstances last time. Some of the others such as Gullane One and B Fifty Two would need a form revival to take a hand and this looks a good spot for BLINDINGLY to bid for his hat-trick. He won’t be worried by the drop back to 7f nor any further rain off a mark he ought to be able to cope with.
