Verdict

Difficult to pinpoint just one in a race where many of the main contenders are old rivals with very little to split them in handicapping terms. The likes of Delagate This Lord, Three Little Birds and Princely are all closely matched and, therefore, difficult to rule out. However, a chance is taken that the race will unfold to suit BIG LACHIE and, assuming he doesn't make a hash of the start, he could be hard to resist in what is likely to be a truly run race. Awsaaf is in flying form and highly respected as he bids for a fourth straight win. He might not be the best value in such a closely framed handicap, though. Similar applies to Bay Watch.
  1. Big Lachie
  2. Awsaaf
  3. Three Little Birds
