A strong-looking conditions contest in which speed will be key,
Makyon has shown an aptitude for forcing the pace in his races and looked a class above his rivals at Ayr last time which entitles him to go close. He is unlikely to be given an easy time up front though with
Bill Neigh, who thrives over C&D but could be bogged down by his 5lb penalty. Preference is for
PROPER BEAU, whose form of his maiden win looks strong (second has won since) and there was obvious excuses for his latest run. He could be hard to beat if the wind surgery has done the necessary work.
