Verdict

A typically informative Newbury maiden with plenty of powerful stables represented. A handful of these fillies are expected to fare better over further in time, but the eye-catching pedigrees of the likes of Wedjan and Charming Spirit entitled them to respect on their racecourse debuts. Areehaa should shape well on her debut but has the scope and trainer to improve in time alongside Queen of Clubs, whose sire Gleneagles has had multiple first-time out winners this season. Preference is for PREDICTABLE TULLY, who shaped as if a stiff sprinting test could bring out her optimum and her track experience could give her the edge.
  1. Predictable Tully
  2. Wejdan
  3. Queen of Clubs
