Verdict

JACK YEATS was out of his depth in the King Edward VII stakes at Royal Ascot last month but did his job in teeing up the race for his stablemate, Japan, to add a Group 1 success to his name. This is obviously far less competitive and, with the cheekpieces in place to aid his concentration, he is fancied to see off the attentions of Leo De Fury, who could do no more than win on his debut but faced nothing of the calibre of the suggestion on that occasion. Kaftan gets the fillies allowance but needs to prove her stamina over this new trip.
