Verdict

LEVER DU SOLEIL can take advantage of this much lower mark on the Flat to record his second consecutive win here. The step down in trip and 6lb penalty shouldn't be a problem. Machiavelli would have finished better than fifth place last time if he wasn't short of room in the closing stages so he looks well treated off this mark, while Sbraase is unlikely to be far away on his hat-trick big despite his 7lb rise up the weights.
