Verdict

A competitive opener, but a race where it'll probably reap dividends to focus upon the three-year-old's. Antico Lady is thriving at present for Brian Ellison (also saddles Monsieur Jimmy and Pickett's Charge), although she does compete from a mark which is 15lb higher than for last month's Wolverhampton AW win. Elamirr is an unexposed Exceed And Excel colt for the bang-in-form Roger Varian, so merits plenty of respect on his handicap/Tapeta debut. However, if electing to simply ignore a poor seasonal reappearance at Redcar, the cheek-pieced filly FALATHAAT would hold very strong claims in this grade on the basis of her earlier juvenile AW form.
  1. Falathaat
  2. Elamirr
  3. Najashee
