It would be foolish to write off
Name The Wind so early in his career. The bar was set way too high when he contested the 2000 Guineas, and prior to that he looked a promising AW recruit. It would be no surprise to see him back to that level if back to his best after a short break.
Qaroun has been crying out for the step back up to 1m, and should go close at a track he has gone well at in the past. However, it is hard to get away from the claims of
NICKLAUS who travelled with plenty of zest on his seasonal return at Epsom in a very competitive race. He lacked for fitness at a crucial stage then, but should be much straighter now and can defy his career-high mark.
