Verdict

A certain amount of guesswork is needed with three-year-old handicaps but the key to this one looks to be the 6f event at Chepstow earlier this month which saw DARK POET finish fifth and Frea one place behind. Both have to cope with the return to 7f but have shown that can cope with this trip and it’s hardly a stiff 7f at the South Coast track. Global Goddess and Sonnetina are two other that have chances if they can cope with an absence and return to turf respectively. Lady Morphheus can’t be ignored given her connections despite her weak form so far with a switch to handicaps off a winter break expected to bring her on; any market move should be taken note of.
  1. Dark Poet
  2. Global Goddess
  3. Frea
