Beaufort (9/2), Firewater (5/1), Archies Lad (6/1), Valence (13/2), Osmosis (13/2), Highwaygrey (8/1), Curfewed (8/1), Euro Implosion (12/1), Fenjal (14/1), Northern Lyte (14/1), Potenza (14/1), Ritchie Star (33/1)

Verdict

A difficult 3yo handicap in which the market can potentially provide some clues. Curfewed finished off reasonably well at Pontefract (1m) latest, but is fairly exposed as a nine-race maiden. Fenjal and Osmosis are ones to consider at least for their respective new handlers Gay Kelleway and Jason Ward. However, with the ground forecast to be riding good to soft, the likeliest candidate is the Richard Fahey-trained FIREWATER who showed a good attitude when winning under similar conditions as a juvenile at Ayr in October 2018.
  1. Firewater
  2. Fenjal
  3. Curfewed
