Sir Michael Stoute has a near 19% strike-rate with his four-year-old handicappers and
SHAREEF STAR looks as though he can improve that percentage having been faced with a tortuous passage on his handicap debut at Doncaster finishing seventh but worthy of a much better placing. It won’t be an easy race for him though as he faces stiff opposition in the shape of
Delph Crescent and
Regal Director from a yard that have done well with their older handicap debutantes in the North East.
Dommersen has a trio of runner-up slots to his name here and is sure to run his race (can look a little awkward) but giving weight to some improving types won’t be easy.
