Verdict

It was disappointing that we didn't see CALYX after his brilliant C&D Coventry win at two and despite being around a 6/1 chance for the 2000 Guineas John Gosden has kept back this potential superstar knowing there will be other Group One's ahead. He has a look of Gosden's former champion sprinter Oasis Dream who carried the same colours. Signora Cabello was herself a very high-class two-year-old and has to be considered a big threat. Pocket Dynamo looks best of the rest.
