Forecasts

Salute The Soldier (7/2), Waarif (9/2), Petrus (5/1), Zwayyan (6/1), Breden (7/1), Wahash (8/1), Power of Darkness (8/1), Mr Top Hat (12/1), War Glory (12/1), Mythical Madness (12/1), Rampant Lion (16/1), Ghayadh (20/1), Sea Fox (25/1), Tricorn (25/1), Uther Pendragon (50/1)

Verdict

Wahash has a lot going for him but he may be a bit tricky and preference is for SALUTE THE SOLDIER who was demoted after crossing the line in front at Wolverhampton where he had finished alongside prolific winner Executive Force. He has been a short price on his last five starts, possesses a good turn of foot and acts on turf. Power Of Darkness and Breden are both entered at Newmarket on Thursday, but either would enter calculations if re-routed here, whilst Zwayyan ran well from a wide draw in the Lincoln and has always been better on a round track. In contrast Petrus has been better over a straight 7f/1m, whilst Rampant Lion needs to prove himself in this grade.
  1. Salute The Soldier
  2. Zwayyan
  3. Wahash
