Verdict

An open-looking race with a number of those in the line-up recommencing their racing careers from new quarters. Both Khafooq and the C&D maiden winner True Hero fall into this category, and should win races for Robert Cowell and Nigel Tinkler respectively. Typhoon Ten is a well-related, pacy individual who could fare better for the break, whilst Enchanted Linda was progressive in the second half of last season for Richard Hannon. However, the tentative pick is the now Amy Murphy-trained PHOENIX STAR who returned from a lengthy absence with a solid effort at Wolverhampton (February), and has the distinct benefit of having Silvestre De Sousa back aboard.
  1. Phoenix Star
  2. Enchanted Linda
  3. Khafooq
