Verdict

A Fast-Track Qualifier for All-Weather Championships Finals Day. Barbill is top-rated of the seven declared runners, but has a 3lb penalty for his Listed win in deep conditions at Chantilly in November. Quite how he'll fare now switched to the AW (debut) off a 99-day break is open to interpretation and whilst he deserves to head the market, he can be taken on in pursuit of value. A fast pace is guaranteed with both Deep Intrigue and Quiet Endeavour known for operating on the sharp end and this might set the race up for a finisher, so we'll take a chance on DON ARMADO who was seen to maximum effect when adopting hold-up tactics at Glorious Goodwood in August.
  1. Don Armado
  2. Barbill
  3. Deep Intrigue
