Verdict

A competitive finale with the handicap newcomer Field Gun on the shortlist now upped in trip despite a short odds defeat at Redcar (6f) last month. C&D maiden winner Burford Brown and the returning (but unexposed) Montana Dawn are capable of making a positive impression. Plentyinthetanksir lived up to his name when dropped back to 7f, and winning readily at Lingfield, and is effectively unpenalised with 7lb claimer George Bass taking over in the saddle from Jamie Spencer, but we'll side with the consistent SAISONS D'OR who has run well all season between 6f and 7f.
  1. Saisons D'Or
  2. Plentyinthetanksir
  3. Field Gun
