Verdict

A poor contest where any number of them could win it if firing on the day, but those same runners could also end up well beaten if unable to run to their best. It might be worth chancing HAYWARD FIELD over this trip for the first time. Noel Wilson's runners have been back in better form in recent days and his five-year-old is a proven winner from 11lb higher only last season. Jan De Heem is much respected in his bid for a repeat win in this race, with course specialist Midnight Warrior considered, and Ice Galley not ruled out. In such a weak affair, Barney George and Major Minus are both well worth market checks.
  1. Hayward Field
  2. Jan De Heem
  3. Barney George
