Verdict

There are doubts about a number of these horses in terms of stamina, and the prominent racing Thirsk winner Albert Boy will be amongst those who will help to ensure a solid even tempo. He merits consideration along with the reliable top-weight and previous C&D winner Swansway, and the dual purpose 4yo Mont Royal. However, it's always worth keeping a close eye on Ken Slack-trained Flat runners at Catterick (6-17; 35%), and his mare CALLIOPE remains feasibly handicapped, just 2lb above her last winning mark (over C&D). She's fairly consistent in the main, and is another horse likely to prove well suited to racing handily throughout at this tight track.
  1. Calliope
  2. Swansway
  3. Albert Boy
