Verdict

Something of a puzzle with the changing ground conditions adding to the mystery. CHAMPAGNE RULES has as good a chance as any. He goes well fresh and handles soft ground, and with a good young rider claiming 5lb shouldn't be too far away. Bogardus won last time but the ground is now a concern, but Clenymistra seems to go well here so has claims along with the likes of Albert Boy and King's Coinage. The step up in trip should suit Aelius who looks potentially well handicapped, while Excalibur and Strongarm Chaser are others in with a shout in an open affair.
  1. Champagne Rules
  2. Aelius
  3. Clenymistra
