Aurum looked a promising colt when scoring over C&D on debut and is likely to go off at short odds, but he has a little to prove at this level and is opposable. The same applies to Purser, who seemed to have his limitations exposed at Newcastle even though he finished ahead of Great Prospector. With Ambient out of his depth at this level, that leaves MUTAAQEB, who shaped with a good deal of promise as a two-year-old and seems sure to relish this step up to 7f. He may represent the value in a trappy contest.
