Verdict

BLUE TEMPLAR wasn't far off in this last year and, a year older, he should have strong claims now. Enda Bolger's domination of these races in Britain has been eroded, but he remains the king of these banks and is seeking a seventh win in 11 years in this contest. Vital Island has been in excellent heart in point-to-point and could run well while the likes of Festival Opera and Drumlosh Sallie are to be noted. He may be a teenager now but don't completely discount Enniskillen.
