Verdict

ESKENDASH travelled like the best horse for a long way at Doncaster on handicap debut and wasn't helped by a sketchy jump at the last, he has run well here before and if his hurdling is slicker this time, he could be the answer. Blazon has displayed plenty promise in novice events and could find this trip more to his liking having run a solid race at Worcester on his handicap debut in November. Royal Ruby is respected going handicapping and should get involved, though he did have a fine chance to score last time at Plumpton and couldn't go through with it. Otter Moon appeared to enjoy the drop in trip last time and is also on the shortlist.
