Verdict

This race looks to be a conundrum as all the those with Fibresand form have yet to really prove themselves in this class on the surface with War Department the only one to have won at Class 2 level (win came on Tapeta). So whilst Holiday Magic and Mister Music have both turned in good recent performances here they may just be found wanting in this grade. Donjuan Triumphant looks to have the most class but there are some doubts about him on the surface and a chance is taken with MUTAWATHEA who comes from a stable with 38% strike rate here since 2009 and he’s by a sire who progeny generally act well on the surface. He’s not the easiest but this test may just suit him.
  1. Mutawathea
  2. Mister Music
  3. Holiday Magic
